Tillery Durbin

Tillery Durbin, commercial lender for Jacksonville-VyStar Credit Union, has demonstrated her influence, character and tenacity for helping Jacksonville’s local businesses throughout her career.

After graduating from the University of North Florida (UNF) with a degree in elementary education, Tillery went in a different direction but never abandoned her passion for teaching. Her finance career began as a floating teller at 121 Financial Credit Union’s branches, working her way into the business services department where she dove into learning and has since become an educational resource for local businesses in Northeast Florida.

Durbin personally oversaw 121 Financial Credit Unions funding of $60 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans to more than 800 local businesses, helping preserve over 4,000 local jobs during the pandemic shutdown between 2020 and 2021.

Beyond 121 Financial’s walls, Durbin has been a financial resource for numerous local organizations. She has conducted presentations and classes to organizations such as the Jax Chamber women business center and Clay County Chamber of Commerce.

Durbin has been recognized as one of the few locally who holds a Credit Union Business Lending Professionals Certification from Credit Union National Association and has earned the 2014 and 2016 Community Service Volunteer of the Year Award from 121 Financial. She was also honored as a 2020 Credit Union Rock Star by the Credit Union National Association, and in that same year, received the Chairman’s Award from the Clay County Chamber of Commerce.

Durbin is a 2022 Jacksonville Business Journal 40 under 40 honoree, current Chairman of the Board for the Salvation Army Clay County Core, current Vice Chairman for the Credit Union Education Program course, and member of the City of Jacksonville – Northwest Jacksonville Economic Development Fund Advisory Committee. She is also a regular volunteer at Annunciation Catholic School in Middleburg and served as pack head and treasurer of her son’s Boy Scout troop for two years.
