What We Do

Advocacy

Advocacy ยท to support, uphold, [champion], a cause or belief.

At Waste Not Want Not, we believe in advocating for practices that eliminate waste and eradicate hunger and poverty. We are a thought leader in hunger elimination through food rescue and stand among many warriors in the fight to end hunger and poverty. We believe in working together toward building a society where no person goes hungry, and no food goes wasted. We want to be part of the solution and conversations around ending hunger and poverty. Here's how we advocate:

  1. Serve on boards, councils, task forces, and committees that address the root causes of hunger and poverty in our community.
  2. Support the advocacy efforts of our food distribution partners and other grassroots organizations in our community.
  3. Work with the public, elected officials, community leaders, and others on policy that safeguards hungry children, seniors, veterans, families, and all other individuals facing hunger and/or poverty.
